Martas Precision upholds the corporate mission of "making movement smoother and life more secure," adhering to the core spirit of precision craftsmanship, innovation-driven, and sustainable practice. We collaborate with supply chain partners and value chain stakeholders to create a value cycle that positively impacts society, the environment, and the economy.
We value corporate social responsibility, fully promoting low-carbon transformation and AI digital transformation, implementing environmental protection, corporate governance, and social inclusion. Our ESG policy aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on 11 indicators closely related to our business, including "Responsible Consumption and Production," "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure," and "Climate Action," integrating them into daily operations and supply chain management.
Martas commits to:
- Environmental Aspect: Implement carbon inventory, promote energy-saving equipment and the use of green materials, reducing carbon emissions throughout the product lifecycle.
- Social Aspect: Focus on employee safety and well-being, promote talent development, support local community participation and feedback.
- Governance Aspect: Strengthen board functions and risk management, establish an information-transparent and integrity-based corporate culture.
We firmly believe that ESG is not just a responsibility but a key driver of long-term corporate competitiveness. Martas will continue to take lean actions towards a future of intelligent manufacturing and sustainable operations.
Sustainable Environmental Practices|Building a Low-Carbon Operation Base
Martas Precision actively implements environmental sustainability actions, incorporating energy-saving and carbon-reduction concepts from the design of operational sites. Through actual investments and engineering actions, we demonstrate our determination and actions on the path to net-zero transformation.
To respond to corporate growth and fulfill our sustainability commitments, Martas invested NT$200 million in 2014 to build a new operational headquarters in Tucheng, New Taipei City. The overall planning incorporates green building design standards, balancing lighting, ventilation, and energy-saving system optimization, enhancing overall building energy efficiency, creating a healthy and comfortable working environment for employees, and reducing operational carbon footprint.
Additionally, to actively participate in renewable energy development, Martas invested NT$11 million in 2023 to install a rooftop solar power system, operating in a "self-generated and self-used" mode, providing stable and clean energy for the plant. This not only effectively reduces dependence on traditional electricity but also substantially lowers greenhouse gas emissions, taking an important step towards RE20 and RE100 goals.
In the future, Martas Precision will continue to invest in intelligent energy-saving, green equipment, and carbon management systems, responding to climate change challenges with practical actions and achieving sustainable innovation in the manufacturing industry.
Environmental Management Policy
Martas Precision adheres to the business philosophy of "Innovation, Integrity, and Harmony," deeply understanding that enterprises should be responsible for the environment and bear obligations for global sustainable development. We commit to introducing systematic environmental management mechanisms, practicing energy conservation and carbon reduction, resource recycling, pollution prevention, and green innovation, creating a manufacturing model that coexists with the environment.
1. Introducing International Standards to Strengthen Environmental Governance
We have obtained the following international environmental and material management certifications to ensure our management mechanisms align with global standards:
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management System: Systematic planning and implementation of environmental policies and objectives.
- ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gas Inventory: Regular disclosure of carbon emission data, grasping the progress of carbon reduction.
- PAS 2050 Product Carbon Footprint: Quantifying carbon emissions throughout the product lifecycle, promoting low-carbon design.
- QC080000 HSPM Hazardous Substance Management System: Ensuring products comply with global environmental regulations (e.g., RoHS, REACH).
2. Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction, Green Operations
We continuously invest in energy-saving and carbon-reduction projects:
- Installing solar power systems to achieve self-generated and self-used green electricity.
- Adopting high-efficiency lighting, variable frequency air conditioning, and energy-saving production equipment.
- Introducing intelligent energy monitoring systems to grasp electricity usage and carbon emission performance in real-time.
- Achieving RE20 renewable energy usage standards, moving towards the long-term goal of RE100.
3. Resource Recycling and Pollution Prevention
We implement "source waste reduction" and "resource regeneration" strategies:
- Improving production yield to reduce material waste.
- Using over 25% recycled materials in product manufacturing, complying with DFE (Design for Environment) principles.
- Setting up and regularly monitoring sewage treatment and exhaust gas control according to regulations.
- Implementing 5S management and non-toxic processes in production sites to ensure employee and environmental safety.
4. Employee Participation and Training
Through regular training and internal initiatives, we strengthen environmental awareness and responsibility among all employees. Every employee is a practitioner of environmental protection, starting from daily small actions to gradually promote a sustainable corporate culture.
5. Green Products and Sustainable Supply Chain
- Adopting DFE (Design for Environment) design concepts, ensuring products balance performance and environmental friendliness.
- Encouraging suppliers to introduce environmentally friendly materials and carbon reduction actions, establishing a green supply chain.
- Conducting environmental audits and educational guidance for partners to achieve mutual benefits in the supply chain.
6. Continuous Improvement and Transparent Disclosure
